About YQP
For more than 20 years, YQP has supplied high-quality silica sand, pebbles, aggregates and engineered dry cementitious products from its 1,235 acre freehold land holding near Yuleba in Queensland's Surat Basin.
The deposit was originally identified during exploration for bentonite and is distinguished by its high-quality silica sand and naturally occurring stone and pebble. Over the past two decades, materials from Yuleba have been used across mining, energy, civil construction, infrastructure, building and landscaping applications.
Under its current ownership, YQP is investing millions of dollars in upgrading its processing operations, including washing, drying, screening and batching infrastructure. This investment is allowing us to do more with a unique Australian resource — moving beyond the supply of raw materials, to re-developing and manufacturing specialised and engineered products for demanding applications.
Today, YQP materials are used in products and applications including shotcrete and grouts for mining and civil ground support, road construction and repair, specialist sands for energy and resource projects, thermal sands for underground electrical infrastructure, and emerging construction technologies such as 3D-printed concrete.
Our focus is straightforward: to turn a high-quality natural resource into reliable, high-performance products that help build, maintain and advance the infrastructure and industries on which communities depend.
Industry experience. Local capability.
YQP is backed by people who are industry leaders with extensive experience across mining, civil construction, concrete and related industries. That experience brings a practical understanding of the environments in which our customers operate — where product quality, consistency, reliability and technical performance matter.
Our operation is located approximately 60 kilometres east of Roma, near the township of Yuleba. We are proud that the majority of our workforce is drawn from the local region, and we are committed to supporting the communities in which we live and operate.
YQP acknowledges the Mandandanji people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our operation stands. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

From strata and ground control solutions to engineered sands and decorative aggregates, YQP delivers quality products engineered for performance, consistency, and reliability.
